2012 might be the year that the world comes to end according to the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. 2012 will most likely be the year that the queen of pop Madonna releases her 12th studio album. But what we are certain of is that 2012 will be the year that the long-awaited third installment in the ‘Men In Black’ franchise finally hits theaters.
The first unconventional teaser posters for the sci-fi movie are here, and they are aesthetically pleasing and innovative to say the least. The futuristic art features the ID mugshot of the movie’s two main agents, played by Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, with the stylized words ‘MIB3’ written in a matrix format all over their faces. The clever posters are also hoping to start a viral phenomenon. If you look closely at the wording the URL TheMenInBlackSuitsAreReal.Com is revealed, which is a link to a Facebook page that’s run by ‘BugEyes126’.
The posters, that are most likely to induce a seizure in a case or two, have been met with mixed reviews, with many accusing them of being gimmicky. I beg to differ, they are very inventive and make a very bold statement that makes me very excited for 25 May — which is the scheduled release date for the movie.
What do you think of the poster?
