To the important stuff now, here is the good, the bad, the ugly and the all so important WTF of the 2011 NAACP Image Awards red carpet:
BEST DRESSED: Actress Halle Berry as usual stole the red carpet at the NAACP Image Awards with this daring Pucci dress. The dress had all the skanky elements to it, with all sorts of cuts in some interesting places, but Halle managed to pull it off. The powerful prints make the dress very fashionable. The 44-year old won Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Frankie & Alice
BEST DRESSED: Mamma Mia! Glee star Amber Riley shimmers in this gorgeous boob-tube dress that flows nicely with her voluptuous figure. The actress looks sexy and she knew it, she exudes complete confidence. Riley lost Best Supporting Actress in a comedy series to Sofia Vergara of Modern Family
THE GOOD: Modern Family star Sofia Vergara opted for something a little more untraditional for award season at this year’s NAACP Image Awards and it worked. The actress looks absolutely stunning in this black lacy number, which complement her curves really well. Sofia won Best Supporting Actress in a comedy series for her work on Modern Family
THE GOOD: Seldom does the Grey’s Anatomy star get it right, but she surprises us here. Sandra Oh looked beautiful on the night in this asymmetrical full length dress. Everything about the dress worked, the colour, the print and it looks comfortable and glam at the same time
THE BAD: “For Colored Girls” actress Kerry Washington kept it simple at this year’s NAACP Image Awards in this plain white gown. It’s a little too simple though, and the colour is too weddingly. She still manages to look classy overall, in a boring way
THE BAD: Desperate Housewives’ new addition Vanessa Williams won Best Actress in a comedy series for her work on the show. But this dress wasn’t a winner at all, it looks like she was draped in her curtains and the colour is atrocious
THE WTF: If there was one person who got it all wrong at the NAACP Image Awards this year it has to be Vampire Diaries’ Kat Graham. The top part of the actress’ dress looked more like a spider-man costume instead of a glamorous evening gown. The skirt part is too busy, especially with the layers.
