‘Moneyball‘ actor Brad Pitt and ‘Young Adult‘ actress Charlize Theron are not the only ones featured in W magazine’s Annual February Movie Issue (Checkout their covers here and here), the magazine also profiles some of the actors causing the most buzz this award season — with the surprise omission of ‘The Iron Lady‘ star Meryl Streep, ‘Shame‘ hottie Michael Fassbender and newcomer Jessica Chastain. Photographed by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Edward Enninful, head below to checkout the actors honoured in W’s 2012 ‘Best Performances’ feature:
Will Ferrell – Everything Must Go.
Christopher Plummer – Beginners.
Gary Oldman – Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

The 17th Annual Critics Choice Awards were held last night (12 January). If they are anything to go by, it seems the odds in leading to the 2012 Oscars are in favour of ‘The Help‘ stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, who both took home ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Supporting Actress’ respectively. As it was expected ‘The Descendants‘ actor George Clooney scoped ‘Best Actor’. Michel Hazanavicius’s ‘The Artist’ took ‘Best Picture’, winning him ‘Best Director’ in the process.
Elsewhere on the grey carpet, everyone went all out, giving us the first really exciting ‘red carpet’ event of the year. While the night was dominated by a lot of black, some stars still opted for a splash of beautiful colour. Head below for all the fashion.
Diane Kruger stole the night in this Prada yellow and light blue chiffon halter neck gown.
‘The Help’ actress Jessica Chastain looked beautiful in a Balenciaga pink halter dress.
‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’ starlet Elizabeth Olsen showed some sexy leg in a Pucci yellow beaded little number.

In what will undoubtedly go down as one of the sexiest photoshoots of the year, ‘The Ides Of March‘ actress Evan Rachel Wood poses for some raunchy scans taken by Ellen Von Unwerth for the latest issue of Flaunt magazine.
Sporting a grungy pixie haircut, the 24-year-old talks to the magazine about ill-founded preconceptions formed by others about her.
“People have an idea of who you are, and it’s hard to break that barrier, so sometimes you can feel kind of isolated. Of course, there are times in my life where I think, ‘Well, what if I hadn’t done this and had a so-called “normal life”?’ Then, I look at all the things I’ve gotten to do and, even though it came with sacrifices, I wouldn’t trade it. I feel like I’ve lived many lifetimes already, more than most people get to do in one life”, Evan explains to Flaunt.

Hunky actor George Clooney covers the December issue of the LA Times magazine, promoting his humanitarian work in Africa, rather than his Oscar buzzworthy film ‘The Ides Of March‘.
Rocking his signature close clipped salt-and-pepper hair, the 50-year-old suits up in Hugo Boss, while posing under the lens of Ruven Afanador.
Clooney tells the magazine what he has learned from U2 frontman Bono on doing humanitarian work.
“The one thing I learned from Bono early on, was you have to pick [a cause] you specifically want to work on, and you have to really engage. You have to be more knowledgeable than most reporters would be on it, so that when they try to make you sound stupid because you’re just an actor…you go, ‘Well, I can name all the rebel leaders, and I have [their numbers] on my phone’”, Clooney shares with the LA Times.

Hollywood hunk George Clooney graces the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine.
Photographed by Mark Seliger, the 50-year-old actor, with his salt and pepper locks, sports his iconic debonair smile on the cover.
George, who is causing some serious Oscar buzz with his latest political movie ‘The Ides of March’, tells the magazine that despite popular belief, he’s hardly a metrosexual.
“I’m the least metrosexual cat you’ve ever met. I’ve never had my fingernails or toenails done, and I’ve cut my own hair longer than other people have cut my hair. On an awards-show day, I can play basketball, go in, take a shower and put on a tux — it takes me three minutes to put on a tux — and be out the door in 15 minutes”, George explains to Rolling Stone.
