Oscar-buzzworthy actress Jennifer Lawrence looks unrecognizable on the cover of the October issue of W magazine.
Lensed by Tim Walker, JLaw channels a black swan in a Calvin Klein feather and organza dress.
The 22-year-old explains to the magazine how it’s like to portray a widow at such a young age in her upcoming film ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ — the role that most critics have predicted that she will receive an Oscar nod for.
“I didn’t mind [it]. People always worry that I’m wrong for the part: I’m usually too young — or, in the case of Katniss, they thought I was too old. I was blonde, and Katniss is brunette. So many problems. There were a lot of things that we just brushed under the rug”, JLaw points out to W.
For her high-fashion editorial, ‘The Hunger Games‘ star channels both the white and black swan in avant-garde designs by Prabal Gurung, Alberta Ferretti, Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.

outside of yourself! It’s just amazing!”, Elizabeth tells allure.
