Katharine McPhee Pretty For Lucky

Smash‘ sweetheart Katharine McPhee garners some promo for the upcoming second season of the hit NBC musical drama by appearing on the cover of the February issue of Lucky magazine.

The ‘American Idol‘ alum discusses her love for fashion with the magazine.

“Actually, I’ve always loved fashion; I salivated over fashion magazines. Growing up, I learned from my best friend, who really knew clothes, that to look really great with no money took time, and I didn’t have time. I was singing… Music was pretty much all I did growing up. But I loved clothes. On Idol, I was very strategic with my look”, McPhee explains to Lucky.

Katharine McPhee: Summery For Glamour

Smash‘ star Katharine McPhee has scored a lovely summery feature, filled with bright flowers and sunshine blue skies, in the June issue of US Glamour magazine.

Sporting minimal slicked-back hair for the white-themed shoot, taken by Nicolas Moore, the ‘American Idol‘ alum talks to the magazine about life after Idol.

“After Idol, I met with Steven Spielberg, who had me in mind for Smash. It really does take time for projects to develop. I spent five or six years just plugging away, auditioning for so many things. Doing things like Shark Night 3D because I so badly wanted to work! The hardest part of the job is getting the job. That’s the job”, the 28-year-old explains to Glamour.
