Irish-German heartthrob Michael Fassbender suits up in Calvin Klein on the cover of the June issue of US GQ magazine.
Photographed by famed Mario Testino, the ‘Prometheus‘ actor reveals to the magazine how he really felt about his Oscar snub for his critically acclaimed role in ‘Shame‘.
“At the beginning people [say], ‘You’re going to be going to the Oscars,’ and you’re like, ‘Whatever, doesn’t matter, don’t think so.’ But after a while it does penetrate. After a while you’re like, ‘Anyway, so I’m going to the Oscars. And you start to believe it. And I did. I thought I was going. And then I found out I wasn’t and I was upset. I was very upset by it. The first reaction was ‘What the fuck…?’”, the 35-year-old tells GQ.

Michael Fassbender fever is everywhere. Not a day goes by without the spotlight being put on the Irish-German actor. This time around we put some focus on the ‘Haywire’ star’s February L’Uomo Vogue editorial (Checkout the cover here), taken by Caitlin Cronenberg on a rustic train track.
The 34-year-old heartthrob lets his feelings be known in the magazine on Shame‘s explicit sex scenes resulting in the film being rated NC-17 in the US.
“I don’t understand the problem with the nudity in the film. What’s the difference between male and female nudity? All men have penises, all women have sex, both accept masturbation as a natural need, yet despite all this people are scandalized by sex, while violence is accepted no
problem. What are the criteria of judgment here? Is it possible that we can’t do anything to challenge this
censorship?…”.

Last week we got a glimpse of actor Michael Fassbender‘s fiery cover for the February issue of Interview magazine (Check it out here). Likewise, the ‘Shame‘ heartthrob looks just as hot in his newly released black and white editorial shot by Sebastian Kim, donning designs by Armani, Dior, Bottega Veneta and more. Head below to check it out.
Interviewed by ‘Milk’ star Josh Brolin for the magazine, Michael reveals his most challenging role to date.
“Probably Shame. I’d come off from four or five films back to back when started Shame, so I was tired to begin with. Then I was really delving into this world as much as I could in the prep time leading up to the five-week shoot, and the focus while we were filming was really, really intense. I was going to some unusual places. So, yeah, I would have to say Shame was probably the deepest and the toughest”, the 34-year-old Golden Globe nominee explains in the magazine.
