Katy Perry Goes Country For Vogue

Katy Perry covers the July issue of US Vogue magazine (Checkout the cover here). For her editorial, styled by Tonne Goodman and lensed by Annie Leibovitz on a country ranch, the 28-year-old singer looks elegant in breathtaking creations from Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Prada, Zac Posen, Blumarine and Michael Kors.

Katy opens up to the magazine on her divorce to comedian Russell Brand.

“He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him. Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011… I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can’t necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day. I let go and I was like: This isn’t because of me; this is beyond me. So I have moved on from that”, Katy explains to Vogue.

Katy also discusses her most recent relationship to on-off boyfriend John Mayer.

“I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him. All I can say about that relationship is that he’s got a beautiful mind. Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds”, Katy shares.

Katy Perry Gets Patriotic For Parade

With the release of her 3D concert-doc film ‘Katy Perry: Part Of Me‘ just around the corner, to coincide with the 4th of July weekend, Katy Perry shows her patriotic side on the cover of the latest issue of Parade magazine.

Lensed by Matt Jones, the 27-year-old songbird dons a blue ensemble and tops her curly two-toned mop with an American flag print hat.

The ‘Wide Awake‘ singer explains to the magazine why her breakup with husband Russell Brand needed to be acknowledged in the film.

“I think if people walked out of the theater and that was completely avoided, they would be like, ‘Well, there’s an elephant in the room that’s still there.’ I like to go out there looking like a strong woman, because I am strong. But I am also a woman who goes through all kinds of problems and highs and lows. I wanted to show the complete spectrum”, Katy points out to Parade.

Promoting her forthcoming concert-doc 3D film ‘Katy Perry: Part Of Me‘, pop sensation Katy Perry adorns the cover of the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine.

Sporting curly purple hair, the 27-year-old songbird stares into the open distance, with her hands sensually resting on her beautiful cheeks on the Joe Pugliese-shot cover.

The ‘Wide Awake‘ singer dishes to the magazine about her much-publicized divorce to Russell Brand.

“Like how I write my songs, honesty has always worked for me. So if it ain’t broke, why f—ing fix it?… Nobody knows what really happened except the two people who are in it”, Katy tells THR.

All The Fashion At The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards took place on Sunday, 28 August. The big winner of the night was British songstress Adele, walking away with four moonmen. Another big winner was “ET” singer Katy Perry who received three wins. Avant Garde singer Lady Gaga also managed to win two awards, while Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Britney Spears all walked away with one win.

While it was news of R&B diva Beyonce’s pregnancy that stole the show and Lady Gaga’s male alter ego Jo Calderone making an appearance, there was still plenty of action on the black carpet. Check it out all below:

Raven-haired singer Katy Perry strikes a sexy pose on the cover of the summer double-issue of Rolling Stone in a Hershey’s Kisses bra.

The “Last Friday Night” singer, who was photographed by famed Terry Richardson, tells the magazine that she recently went through a political awakening.

“It just feels like the thing running our country is a bank, money. I know it sounds like an intense viewpoint, but I’m only slowly but surely getting the wool taken off my eyes. When I was a kid, I asked questions about my faith. Now I’m asking questions about the world. I think we are largely in desperate need of revolutionary change in the way our mindset is. Our priority is fame, and people’s wellness is way low”.

“I started praying for[breasts] when I was, like, 11. And God answered that prayer above and beyond, by, like, 100 times, until I was like, ‘Please, stop, God. I can’t see my feet anymore. Please stop!’ I was a lot more rectangular then”.

Katy Perry goes old Hollywood glam, with her raven hair styled in retro romantic curls and sporting ruby red lips, on the cover of June 2011 Vanity Fair magazine.

The “ET” singer embodies sheer sex appeal in a strapless champagne Zuhair Murad bodysuit. The pop singer pose for the lens of famed photographer Annie Leibovitz in Paris for the cover shoot, with both her hands meeting at the hips, giving a sexy hourglass shape.

In the accompanying cover story the 26-year-old talks about husband Russell Brand. “(There is) never a dull moment…(he has) never lied to me once. I trust him; there’s just a level of trust that we’ve built up”, Perry tells Vanity Fair.

She also explains the need for privacy in her marriage: “The press is just not your friend when it comes to a marriage. That’s why we didn’t sell the pictures of our wedding, and we got offered millions of dollars for them,
millions”.
