Remember how your parents used to warn you as a kid to not play with your food? Prolific artist Will Cotton and fresh face young Hollywood starlet Elle Fanning defy all of that for their sweet collaborative feature in the latest issue of New York Magazine.
All in the name of fashion, Cotton covers the 14-year-old cutie with rich, sugary goo and delicate meringue to resemble some of the standout looks from the Spring/Summer 2013 collections.
The ‘Ginger & Rosa‘ actress reveals to the magazine how she often go out searching for fashion treasures.
“I went to the vintage store Wasteland with my grandmother to look for clothes. People say it’s so hard to look in there, because there’s so much, but you really just have to focus, get in the zone. I found this amazing floral jumpsuit that’s so cool. I have the patience to look through every rack”, Elle shares with NY Mag.
On the cover, Elle wears a Vivienne Westwood-inspired headpiece. After the jump, checkout Elle’s lengthy and mouthwatering editorial:

Taylor Swift adorns the newsstand cover of the December issue of ELLE Canada magazine — Checkout the subscriber’s cover here.
The 22-year-old strikes a pose for the lens of Andrew MacPherson in a Reem Acra sequin dress.
Taylor explains to the magazine why she writes so many breakup songs.
“I just don’t feel like writing songs about anything other than human emotions because it’s such a fascinating thing… What else is there other than love?”, Taylor tells ELLE.
For her editorial, below, the ‘Begin Again‘ singer dons an outstanding strapless Marchesa ballgown, with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes (The first two shots). In the last shot, Taylor dances it out in a Jenny Packham little number, paired with Elie Saab shoes.

The crème de la crème of Tinseltown came out in huge numbers last night (15 January), in celebration of the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California. The Oscar race for ‘Best Actress’ got interesting and more intense on the night, with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) awarding Michelle Williams ‘Best Actress Musical/Comedy’ and Meryl Streep ‘Best Actress Drama’. The two lovely ladies were of course bested by ‘The Help‘ star Viola Davis at the Critics Choice Awards a few days ago. However, if there is one thing the HFPA and Broadcast Film Critics Association agree on is that George Clooney, Octavia Spencer and ‘The Artist‘ should win ‘Best Actor’, ‘Best Supporting Actress’ and ‘Best Picture’ respectively.
Now to the more exciting stuff. Checkout who wore what at the event:
Jessica Chastain kept it simple and elegant in white Givenchy. She could have been best-dressed with a different and more flattering hairdo.
WORST-DRESSED: Queen of pop Madonna failed to impress in this frumpy dark green embroidered Reem Acra gown.
With her granny-esque hair in a classy bun, Kelly Osbourne looked ravishing in a blue Zac Posen gown
BEST-DRESSED: Golden Globe winner Michelle Williams looked effortlessly chic in a velvet longsleeve Jason Wu dress, complete with an adorable headband.
WORST-DRESSED: Sarah Michelle Gellar looked ready to walk down the aisle in this Monique Lhuillier paint-splatter ball gown.
‘Glee‘ starlet Lea Michele‘s love affair with Marchesa continued, this time opting for an antique embroidered illusion dress.

The 39th Annual American Music Awards took place last night (20 November) and was it the biggest snoozefest of the year. The red carpet was one big doze-off too, with red carpet firm favourites Lady Gaga, Rihanna (both in the UK) and Beyonce (attending the ‘Live At Roseland: Elements Of 4‘ screening) not making an appearance. Highlights of the night included British songstress Adele finally getting some American recognition, with her critically acclaimed album ‘21‘ winning favourite album as well as pop crooner Bruno Mars surprisingly and deservedly winning favourite male artist over teen sensation Justin Bieber. Country starlet Taylor Swift was of course the big winner of the night once again. Head below for all the red carpet fashion:
R&B diva Jennifer Hudson flaunted her gorgeous new figure in a Jenny Packham draped little number.
One of the night’s best-dressed was actress Jenny McCarthy in a puffy Victoria Beckham dress. Love her chic retro side-swept curl and popping red lips.
‘Modern Family‘ actress Julie Bowen looked a mess in her mini dress and messy hair. This look would have been more fitting for her much younger co-star below.
Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez got loveydovey, with Selena failing to impress in her satin Armani dress.
Rocking a side ponytail, Taylor Swift looked beautiful in a Reem Acra glittery strapless gown. Wait a minute, haven’t we seen this dress on her before?!
