Johnny Depp: Cross-Armed For Vanity Fair

Vanity Fair magazine is sure as hell loving scruffy heartthrob Johnny Depp this year, almost as much as US Harper’s Bazaar is loving Lady Gaga. The 48-year-old actor lands his second cover with the magazine this year for the November issue — he also fronted the January edition.

The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star surprises us all by gracing the cover with a clean face, shaving his signature mustache and even getting a sexy short haircut. Johnny folds his arms and exposes his tattoos for the lens of the famed Terry Richardson.

Johnny talks to the magazine about his hatred for doing photo shoots.

“You just feel like you’re being raped somehow. Raped. The whole thing. It feels like a kind of weird — just weird, man… Whenever you have a photo shoot or something like that, it’s like you just feel dumb. It’s just so stupid”, Johnny explains to Vanity Fair.

 

Penelope Cruz Gets Holographic For V

Spanish actress Penelope Cruz is a femme fatale on the cover of the #72 Fall/Winter ‘Transformation Issue’ of V magazine.

Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the 37-year-old dons a Ralph Lauren tuxedo and sports a birdcage veil over her face as well as ruby-red lips on the cover. Love the holographic format too.

The actress talks to the magazine about “Pirates of The Caribbean” co-star and close-friend Johnny Deep.

“Johnny wears everything better than I do. He even wore a dress in the movie he did with Javier (Bardem),Before Night Falls”, Penelope tells V.

Penelope Cruz Gets Raunchy For GQ UK

Penelope Cruz gets raunchy for the cover of the June issue of GQ UK, which if I might mention is more grabbing than her June US Vogue cover that lacks certain je ne sais quoi.

The Spanish beauty sports sexy short tousled wavy hair on the cover, while showing off her exotic skin in an Agent Provocateur slip and a Yves Saint Laurent dress. Lensman Mario Sorrenti photographed the 37-year-old actress for her saucy GQ photoshoot.

Cruz will for the first time appear in the latest Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, playing female pirate Angelica, where she will reunite with “Blow” co-star Johnny Depp.

Penelope Cruz Scores Vogue Cover

US Vogue has had a couple of exciting covers over the last few months. From Lady Gaga photographed by Mario Testino in a chic pink bob on the cover of the March issue and red-haired singer Rihanna flaunting her sexy curves in the mermaid inspired Annie Leibovitz shot April cover, to American sweetheart Reese Witherspoon going old Hollywood glam in a black/white Roland Mouret dress on the May cover.

But judging by the recently leaked June 2011 cover of the magazine featuring Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz, the issue is going to be a huge snoozefest. Sure the 37-year-old actress looks drop dead gorgeous in the romantic countryside close-up shot, but it lacks that alluring factor we have seen in recent months. The cover is believed to have been lensed by the incomparable Mario Testino and Penelope is wearing a lace and cotton Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit.

Penelope stars in the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie to be released later this month, as a female pirate named Angelica.
