All The Fashion At The 2012 BAFTAs

The 65th annual British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) — the British equivalent of the Oscars — took place tonight (12 February) at the Royal Opera House in the UK. ‘Beginners‘ actor Christopher Plummer, ‘The Help‘ actress Octavia Spencer as well as silent film ‘The Artist‘ continued on their winning streak this award season, in their respective categories. Jean Dujardin once again upset George Clooney by clinching ‘Best Actor’, with Meryl Streep denying Viola Davis a ‘Best Actress’ win.

Head below to checkout all the red carpet action, where black was clearly the colour of the night.

All The Fashion At The 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were held last night (29 January) at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. While ‘The Help‘ was the big winner of the night, it was French actor Jean Dujardin who stole the show, snatching ‘Best Actor’ right under Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney‘s nose and for the first time, this award season, creating a competitive Oscar race in the category. Clooney’s good friend Viola Davis took home ‘Best Actress’, and having won under the same category a few week ago at the Critics Choice Awards, the 46-year-old becomes the clear front-runner for the Oscar race in the category. Davis’ biggest threat comes from two of The Weinstein Company’s lovely ladies, Meryl Streep and Michelle Williams, who both won a Golden Globe two weeks ago for ‘Best Actress Drama’ and ‘Best Actress Comedy/Musical’, respectively.

Head below for all the red carpet action, where no one really stunned. They all played it safe.

All The Fashion At The 2012 Golden Globes

The crème de la crème of Tinseltown came out in huge numbers last night (15 January), in celebration of the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California. The Oscar race for ‘Best Actress’ got interesting and more intense on the night, with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) awarding Michelle Williams ‘Best Actress Musical/Comedy’ and Meryl Streep ‘Best Actress Drama’. The two lovely ladies were of course bested by ‘The Help‘ star Viola Davis at the Critics Choice Awards a few days ago. However, if there is one thing the HFPA and Broadcast Film Critics Association agree on is that George Clooney, Octavia Spencer and ‘The Artist‘ should win ‘Best Actor’, ‘Best Supporting Actress’ and ‘Best Picture’ respectively.

Now to the more exciting stuff. Checkout who wore what at the event:

All The Fashion At The 2012 Critics Choice Awards

The 17th Annual Critics Choice Awards were held last night (12 January). If they are anything to go by, it seems the odds in leading to the 2012 Oscars are in favour of ‘The Help‘ stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, who both took home ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Supporting Actress’ respectively. As it was expected ‘The Descendants‘ actor George Clooney scoped ‘Best Actor’. Michel Hazanavicius’s ‘The Artist’ took ‘Best Picture’, winning him ‘Best Director’ in the process.

Elsewhere on the grey carpet, everyone went all out, giving us the first really exciting ‘red carpet’ event of the year. While the night was dominated by a lot of black, some stars still opted for a splash of beautiful colour. Head below for all the fashion.

Oscar Buzzworthy Ladies Front The Hollywood Reporter

Award season is almost here, and in the spirit of it all six of the ladies causing the most Oscar buzz gather for a lovely portrait on the cover of the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter.

Rocking Louis Vuitton pumps, 31-year-old ‘My Week With Marilyn‘ star Michelle Williams looks effortlessly chic as usual with her pixie cut. 26-year-old ‘Shame’ actress Carey Mulligan, just like Michelle, is seen with her trademark crop.

The oldest of the bunch is 64-year-old Glenn Close, who has received rave reviews for her portrayal of a 19th century woman pretending to be a man in ‘Albert Nobbs’. South African beauty Charlize Theron and the only one amongst the contenders to have won an Oscar already, looks elegant in a black pantsuit. The 36-year-old actress is causing some Oscar buzz for her role in ‘Young Adult’.

Finally, two beautiful women from the movie ‘The Help‘ flaunt their gorgeous dark complexion and curves on the cover. Of course, that’s 46-year-old Viola Davis, sporting a bob, and 41-year-old almost unknown actress Octavia Spencer.

Just one little thing, where is ‘The Iron Lady‘ star Meryl Streep?
