Oscar-winning English actress Kate Winslet strikes a pose of the cover of the June issue of Italian Vanity Fair magazine.

Lensed by Rafael Stahelin, the ‘Mildred Pierce‘ star looks fierce in a sequined blazer and edgy tousled hair.

The 36-year-old Hollywood leading lady talks to the magazine about her signature curves always being put under scrutiny.

“It’s one of those things I learned quickly to ignore. Once it was different, it hurt me. When I was twenty I pretended it didn’t bother me, but I felt very bad, I did. In front of journalists and the public I acted superior, but I was dying inside. Now everything is different. It takes time, but you can learn it. It’s true that you need much time to get rid of the fat girl you once were, but –- you know –- I am sincerely grateful for my buttocks. Wow, isn’t this a wonderful line?”, Kate tells Vanity Fair.

All The Fashion At The 2012 Golden Globes

The crème de la crème of Tinseltown came out in huge numbers last night (15 January), in celebration of the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California. The Oscar race for ‘Best Actress’ got interesting and more intense on the night, with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) awarding Michelle Williams ‘Best Actress Musical/Comedy’ and Meryl Streep ‘Best Actress Drama’. The two lovely ladies were of course bested by ‘The Help‘ star Viola Davis at the Critics Choice Awards a few days ago. However, if there is one thing the HFPA and Broadcast Film Critics Association agree on is that George Clooney, Octavia Spencer and ‘The Artist‘ should win ‘Best Actor’, ‘Best Supporting Actress’ and ‘Best Picture’ respectively.

‘Mildred Pierce‘ actress Kate Winslet scores a lovely feature that accentuate her simple beauty in the December issue of UK InStyle Magazine.

The 36-year-old English actress was captured by lensman Tom Munro for the black and white shoot, which sees her donning a hat and blazer in one scan, and flaunting her sexy curves in a low cut-out back dress, while sporting flirtatious pinned-up curls, in another shot.

Kate, who talks to the magazine about her beauty secrets, explains to the magazine what glamour is to her.

“Glamour to me is about remaining graceful and understated. For example, with very bold lip colours, you can’t overdo the rest of your face”, the Oscar-winning star tells InStyle.

Kate Winslet Simply Elegant For Harper’s Bazaar

British actress Kate Winslet keeps it simple whilst oozing elegance of the cover of the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK magazine.

The 35-year-old Oscar winning actress is once again channeling old school glamour with her side-swept medium length bob on the Tom Munro-shot cover.

According to coverlines the ‘Mildred Pierce’ star will for the first time open up to the magazine about her recent failed marriage to movie director Sam Mendes.

“I do truly feel that I’m back. I feel that I’m just at the beginning of a new narrative, and it’s incredibly exciting. It’s complicated, I know, and uncertain — but it’s where life happens, between the cracks. It can be a painful process, but I truly hope that never stops for me”, Kate tells Bazaar.

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles last night, September 18, where some of television’s biggest stars came out in numbers to rub shoulders in honour of celebrating excellence in the 2011 season’s primetime programming.
