Oscar Buzzworthy Ladies Front THR

The Hollywood Reporter kicks off the 2012-13 award season with seven female Oscar contenders gracing the cover of their latest issue.

Making the list are Sally Field (Lincoln), Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables), Helen Hunt (The Sessions), Amy Adams (The Master), Naomi Watts (The Impossible), Marion Cotillard (Rust and Bone) and Rachel Weisz (The Deep Blue Sea). Crop-haired Hathaway looks beautiful in a longsleeve Marchesa gown, while French goddess Marion Cotillard dons a Lanvin one-shoulder dress and Weisz stuns in Roland Mouret.

Interesting to note that four of the ladies already have an Oscar win under their belt — Cotillard, Hunt, Weisz and Field (two). The Oscars have also shown plenty of love to the remaining ladies, with Adams having three nominations to her name and both Hathaway and Watts each securing one past nod. At the moment, Weisz’s chances at a nod are slim-to-none. Hathaway is the favourite in the ‘Supporting’ category even though ‘Les’ is still to be screened. Adams is pretty much getting her fourth nomination in the ‘Supporting’ category, making her Hathaway’s strongest competitor. Field could possible clinch her third win, breaking a record to become the first performer to go 3 for 3. Surprising that THR snubbed ‘Silver Linings Playbook‘ starlet Jennifer Lawrence, since she’s the frontrunner in the ‘Best Actress’ race, meaning she could possibly upset Cotillard’s chances at winning her second statue.

Marion Cotillard Gets Creepy For W

Photographer Tim Walker and stylist Jacob K bring us one of the most magical editorials of the year, starring French goddess Marion Cotillard in the December issue of W magazine — Checkout the stunning cover here.

The ‘Rust and Bone‘ star discusses with the magazine how it’s like to do a sex scene.

“I hate sex scenes. The body is so important in this movie, but I hate being naked onscreen. It’s very weird to imagine how a person would have sex. It cannot be your way. Otherwise, it would be super uncomfortable and overly intimate. Everyone has a way to have sex, so a character does too. I mean, kissing is very powerful. You feel something, you know? It’s really intense to kiss as another person”, Marion explains to W.

For her creepy and high-fashion editorial, with a touch of bright red as well as a Nutcracker, the 37-year-old actress sports a vampy crop and daring crimson lips, while clad in avant-garde designs by Dolce & Gabbana, Iris Van Herpen, Lanvin, Valentino, Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and Gucci.

Marion Cotillard Vampy For Harper’s Bazaar

It’s been a great year for Marion Cotillard, so it’s only fitting that the French goddess ends it off by covering the December Women of the Year Issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK magazine.

Sporting clean slicked-back hair and kohl-rimmed eyes, the 37-year-old actress looks gorgeous in a strapless Dior gown.

Marion talks to the magazine about finally finding some happiness in her life.

“One of the things I have learned recently is that I have the ability to be happy. I have found that in my family. And that is a new thing. And that hasn’t always been the case for me – so I know how lucky I am”, Marion shares with Bazaar.

For her editorial, the ‘Rust and Bone‘ star channels a femme fatale in show-stopping gowns from Alexis Mabille, Marchesa, Armani and Giambattista Valli.
