M.I.A. Goes Arabian Hipster For Jalouse


Hip hop provocateur M.I.A adorns the cover of the December/January issue of Jalouse magazine.

Lensed by Romain Gavras, the 37-year-old singer channels a bird in an orange Armani coat, paired with a matching Kenzo dress.

For her editorial, which could have easily been taken during the shooting of her controversial ‘Bad Girls’ music video, M.I.A looks Arabian hippie chic in pieces from Versace, Azzedine Alaia, Dior, Paco Rabanne, Hermes and Sonia Rykiel.

Madonna ‘MDNA’ Album Cover Unveiled


Take a look at the futuristic album art cover for Madonna‘s upcoming 12th studio album ‘MDNA’.

The eye-blinding and seizure inducing artwork features a close-up profile shot of the queen of pop, sporting ruby-red lips and her gorgeous face pressed against a multi-coloured glass surface. The digitally manipulated photo was taken by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

The 53-year-old’s album is set to be released on March 26, with the lead single off the album ‘Give Me All Your Luvin‘ — with cameos by rappers M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj — scheduled to drop this Friday (03 February).

First Look: Madonna ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ Single Cover


The queen of pop is back. Not only is Madonna getting ready for the release of her second directorial effort ‘W.E.‘, but the 53-year-old will be headlining the Super Bowl halftime show in seven days time and dropping her much-anticipated 12th studio album ‘M.D.N.A.’ in March.

To heighten all the excitement, Madge has just released the single art cover for the lead single, ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’, off the new album. The flattering black and white art, for the song set to debut on Friday (February 3), features three very animated shots of the singer, taken by renowned photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Sporting wavy hair, Madonna dons a daring star print cheerleader-esque outfit.

The song features guest appearances by rappers Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.

W Captures The Love Affair Between Fashion And Music


The July issue of W magazine celebrates the influence music has on fashion by having global fashion power houses choose famous musicians that inspire their work the most. Photographed by Max Vadukul, renowned designers such as Francisco Costa, Donatella Versace and Karl Lagerfeld are lensed alongside their precious muses such as Kanye West, Florence Welch and Diplo for the issue — thus capturing the love affair between fashion and music.

Gucci designed Flo’s costumes for her current tour and the labels’s fall 2011 collection will be inspired by the singer. Giannini says the following in the magazine about her flame-haired muse:

“I was captivated by her eccentric style and her willingness to dare. She embodies the cinematic allure and seductive power that is its essence”.

The rapper made a lasting impression on the sisters during his set at Coachella earlier this year.
