On Sunday night (13 January), it was the turn of the 90+ members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to make their top selections in television and film excellence at the 70th Annual Golden Globes. Actor-turned-filmmaker Ben Affleck was once again the top pick of the night, snagging both ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Picture (Drama)’ for his masterpiece ‘Argo‘. Other big winners of night included ‘Girls‘ creator Lena Dunham, everything ‘Homeland‘, Hugh Jackman, Christoph Waltz and Daniel Day-Lewis.
Held at the Beverly Hilton hotel, everyone in Hollywood came out to play, dolled-up in red pops, basic blacks, shimmering golds, asymmetrical cuts and bold prints. Checkout the standout red carpet looks, below:
Country sensation Taylor Swift looked almost unrecognizable in a seductive dark plum Donna Karan frock, with a mermaid skirt.
Girl of the moment Lena Dunham clean-up in an off-the-shoulder Zac Posen dress.
BEST-DRESSED: Rocking a side-braid, freckle-faced Lucy Liu had a princess moment in a strapless floral print Carolina Herrera ballgown.
Purple-haired Kelly Osbourne looked elegant in a strapless pale green Zac Posen gown.
‘Skyfall‘ singer Adele wore her signature black Burberry dress, with her hair pulled up into a beehive.

Recent ‘Saturday Night Live‘ guest-host Anne Hathaway channels her ‘Les Miserables‘ heroine character Fantine on the cover of the December issue of US Vogue magazine.
Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, the 30-year-old actress, with her chic pixie cut, looks pretty in a strapless emerald green Vera Wang gown, matching the garden background.
Anne shares with the magazine on how much she loves her short hairdo.
“I love the short-haired lifestyle. It’s awesome that I was able to go for a hike right before I came here to meet you, quickly wash my hair, and now it’s dry… But I’m turning 30, and — I hope this isn’t obnoxious to say — I feel prettier, and much more myself. I guess I just feel much more satisfied with less now”, Anne explains to Vogue.
For her single editorial, taken in the field and styled by Tonne Goodman, Anne wears a Ralph Lauren gold embroidered vest, blouse and pants. She also dons a Valentino velvet couture gown.

The group editorial, features the ensemble cast of the Tom Hooper-directed film, in character and styled in 19th century-inspired costumes by Paco Delgado.

Photographed by Darren Tieste, the 22-year-old actor talks to the magazine about other Aussie actors that have inspired him.
“Heath Ledger was one I was always a big fan of. He was kind of the closest to my age and was just an incredible actor. And obviously guys like Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman –- there are just so many talented Australian actors over here. But I think Heath Ledger was my favourite out of all of
those and just simply an inspiration”, Liam shares with Prestige.

Thanks to the biggest buzz of the year, triggered by the release of the last installment in the ‘Harry Potter‘ franchise earlier this year, British actor Daniel Radcliffe has unsurprisingly been named Entertainment Weekly‘s 2011 Entertainer of the Year.
The 22-year-old, who is venturing into a career on Broadway, takes center stage on the latest issue cover of the magazine, looking dapper in a black suit, with a silver cane in one hand and a top hat in another. Daniel beats Adele, Hugh Jackman and the cast of ‘Bridesmaids‘ for the top honour.
