The October issue of US Vanity Fair gives us a first look at Michael Douglas as legendary performer Liberace and his behind-closed-doors boy toy — 39 years his junior — Scott Thorson (played by Matt Damon) in the upcoming Steven Soderbergh-directed HBO biopic ‘Behind the Candelabra’.
Photographed by Norman Jean Roy, the pair looks unrecognizable with retro ’70s hairdos, while hanging by the pool, in matching ensembles.
Newcomer Allison Williams, the star of the hit HBO comedy series ‘Girls’, is featured on the cover of the August issue of Canadian magazine Fashion.
The 24-year-old actress, with long wind-blown hair, looks beautiful in a Thakoon halter dress on the Seiji Fujimori-shot cover.
Allison tells the magazine why she will never do nudity in front of the camera.
“Right now, I don’t see myself ever doing nude scenes. Once you do them, you can’t take it back because of the way Google Images works. I also think that unfortunately nudity seems to overshadow some of the more brilliant things that are going on”, Allison explains to Fashion.

With season 5 of ‘True Blood‘ just around the corner, True Blood fever is everywhere. The hit HBO show’s new addition Christopher Meloni and telepathic heroine Anna Paquin take to the two covers of the latest issue of TV Guide magazine.
Sporting wavy hair, 29-year-old mom-to-be Anna hunches forward on a sofa, with Meloni standing tall behind her on one cover. On the alternative Sheryl Nields-shot cover, Anna looks ravishing as she strikes a hand-on-hip pose in a Dolce & Gabbana stretch crepe and lace dress, with Meloni’s vampire fangs out in full force by her side.
51-Year-old Meloni reveals to the magazine how playing 500-year-old vampire Roman is different from playing Det. Elliot Stabler in ‘Law & Order: SVI’.
“Elliot was free-form. Roman’s more thoughtful — yet unafraid to pull the trigger. He’s a man of action. Get the facts; get it done. But they both have a certainty of their view. They both think they’re right”, Meloni explains to TV Guide.
Rapper Kid Cudi stars in one of the most creative and refreshing magazine covers of the year as he gets a puzzled face fronting the October/November issue of Complex magazine.
The 27-year-old talks to the magazine about recently venturing into acting with the HBO critically acclaimed series ‘How To Make It In America’.
“I’ve always been interested in acting, but it didn’t seem as realistic of a goal for me. It’s awesome how it came about organically. It came out of nowhere, and it’s dope that my music career and ‘How to Make It’ took off at the same time. I feel ridiculously blessed to have this opportunity to do this show”, Cudi explains to Complex.

Must Admit, I was initially doubtful when it was announced that Julianne Moore will portray Sarah Palin in the HBO film “Game Change”, since I thought, for obvious reasons, that comedian Tina Fey would have been more suitable for the role.
But after examining a first look at Moore as Palin, I’m starting to warm up to the idea of Moore portraying the conservative feminist. The resemblance is impeccable.
The first shot of Moore as the former Alaska governor, sees the actress sporting the Palin signature rimless, titanium eyeglasses and an updo hairstyle with side swept bangs. Moore also dons the Palin red power jacket suit to complete the look.
Moore will co-star with Ed Harris as John McCain in the film that follows the Arizona U.S. Senator’s 2008 presidential campaign. Woody Harrelson has also been cast as Steve
Schmidt, McCain’s senior advisor. Production on the movie begins next week.
Brace yourselves, Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour is about to invade your television viewing. HBO has just released the first official poster for the “Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden”, to be aired on 7 May.
Looking like a badass female assassin from one of Quentin Tarantino’s movies, Gaga dons a cone bra with flames shooting out of her chest. I’m sure Madonna will approve, after all she made the cone bra famous in the 90s during the “Blonde Ambition Tour”. But Gaga is clearly taking the look to a whole other level.
So here is the deal, beginning April 19, HBO will be running a campaign in which fans can go to their Facebook page and unlock exclusive snippets from the Gaga special, leading to the premiere.
