The February edition of UK InStyle captures the rise of fair-skinned and red-haired singer Nicola Roberts, who’s success have been mostly overshadowed by fellow Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole.
Nicola who fell into a deep depression over the media constantly singling her out as the ‘ugly one’ in the successful girl group, tells the magazine that of all the girls, she had the most in common with Cheryl.
“Out of all the girls, Cheryl and I have the same mentalities. We’re just very similar people, who had similar upbringings, so we could — and still can — relate to each other. Put it this way, she didn’t know what a sat nav was back in the day, either”, Nicola points out to InStyle.
