All The Fashion At The 2013 Golden Globes

On Sunday night (13 January), it was the turn of the 90+ members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to make their top selections in television and film excellence at the 70th Annual Golden Globes. Actor-turned-filmmaker Ben Affleck was once again the top pick of the night, snagging both ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Picture (Drama)’ for his masterpiece ‘Argo‘. Other big winners of night included ‘Girls‘ creator Lena Dunham, everything ‘Homeland‘, Hugh Jackman, Christoph Waltz and Daniel Day-Lewis.

Held at the Beverly Hilton hotel, everyone in Hollywood came out to play, dolled-up in red pops, basic blacks, shimmering golds, asymmetrical cuts and bold prints. Checkout the standout red carpet looks, below:

Nicole Kidman went for a dark and edgy look in a black Alexander McQueen gown, with a statement neckline.

BEST-DRESSED: ‘Les Miserables‘ siren Anne Hathaway kept is sleek and fresh in a white archived Chanel gown, with a peplum top and column skirt.

‘Rust and Bone‘ star Marion Cotillard brought a pop of colour in an orange strapless asymmetrical Dior dress.

“I have a rule. No actors. I have dated an actor before, at Juilliard, but since then, I’ve only been on a couple of dates with one and I was so freaked out someone was going to take a picture of us, because they were famous. I realised I wanted just to be able to hang out with someone… And I didn’t want to talk about the business, first of all. I love movies. But I love talking about them like when I was 15 years old. I’m a film fan, but I don’t want to talk about auditions or what movie I’m gonna do. I find that so boring”, Jessica explains to InStyle.

All The Fashion At The 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were held last night (29 January) at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. While ‘The Help‘ was the big winner of the night, it was French actor Jean Dujardin who stole the show, snatching ‘Best Actor’ right under Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney‘s nose and for the first time, this award season, creating a competitive Oscar race in the category. Clooney’s good friend Viola Davis took home ‘Best Actress’, and having won under the same category a few week ago at the Critics Choice Awards, the 46-year-old becomes the clear front-runner for the Oscar race in the category. Davis’ biggest threat comes from two of The Weinstein Company’s lovely ladies, Meryl Streep and Michelle Williams, who both won a Golden Globe two weeks ago for ‘Best Actress Drama’ and ‘Best Actress Comedy/Musical’, respectively.

Golden Globe winning actor and the star of Michel Hazanavicius‘s critically acclaimed silent movie ‘The Artist‘, Jean Dujardin covers the February ‘Men Of The Year’ issue of French GQ magazine.

Named ‘Actor of the Year’ by the magazine, the 39-year-old looks like a young Sean Connery on the cover, with slicked-back hair and suited up.

“Probably Shame. I’d come off from four or five films back to back when started Shame, so I was tired to begin with. Then I was really delving into this world as much as I could in the prep time leading up to the five-week shoot, and the focus while we were filming was really, really intense. I was going to some unusual places. So, yeah, I would have to say Shame was probably the deepest and the toughest”, the 34-year-old Golden Globe nominee explains in the magazine.
