Portia de Rossi: Crop-haired For OUT

Australian export Portia de Rossi looks almost unrecognizable on the cover of the May issue of OUT magazine.

Photographed by Kai Z Feng, the newly crop-haired actress dons a sheer Louis Vuitton top on the black and white cover.

The 40-year-old ‘Arrested Development’ star explains to the magazine why she and partner Ellen DeGeneres will never have any kids.

“There comes some pressure in your mid-30s, and you think, ‘am I going to have kids so I don’t miss out on something that other people really seem to love?’. Or is it that I really genuinely want to do this with my whole heart? I didn’t feel that my response was ‘yes’ to the latter. You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did. So it’s just going to be me and Ellen and no babies”, Portia shares with OUT.

In addition to her Louis Vuitton ensemble, below, Portia also wears Prada:

A$AP Rocky Gets Grilled For Interview

A close-up shot of rapper A$AP Rocky adorns the cover of the April issue of US Interview magazine.

The 24-year-old shows off his swagged-out gold grillz on the black and white Craig McDean-lensed cover.

The ‘Fashion Killa‘ rapper discusses with the magazine Hip Hop’s negative attitude towards homosexuality.

“One big issue in hip-hop is the gay thing. It’s 2013, and it’s a shame that, to this day, that topic still gets people all excited. It’s crazy. And it makes me upset that this topic even matters when it comes to hip-hop, because it makes it seem like everybody in hip- hop is small-minded or stupid — and that’s not the case. We’ve got people like Jay-Z. We’ve got people like Kanye. We’ve got people like me. We’re all prime examples of people who don’t think like that. I treat everybody equal, and so I want to be sure that my listeners and my followers do the same if they’re gonna represent me. And if I’m gonna represent them, then I also want to do it in a good way”, A$AP explains to Interview.

Below, checkout A$AP’s dramatic and fashion-forward editorial preview:

James Franco Gets Goofy For Attitude

Oz: The Great And Powerful‘ leading man James Franco looks dapper on the black and white cover of the April Style Issue of Attitude magazine.

The 34-year-old actor once again addresses the gay rumours always surrounding him, in the magazine.

“One of the things that’s very much part of my public image is the question of my sexuality. It’s not something that bothers me in the slightest. It hasn’t gone away and I get asked about it from all sides. It’s partly my doing and partly not my doing… I think that the people I have known who are performers who haven’t publicly come out didn’t because they’re afraid it’ll hurt their careers. And they’re afraid they won’t be able to play straight roles anymore. If there’s somebody that was well respected and very secure with their career, I could see it happening in a very positive way”, James shares with Attitude.

Frank Ocean Takes His Entourage To GQ

R&B crooner Frank Ocean scores a feature in the December issue of US GQ magazine.

Lensed by Peggy Sirota, whilst surrounded by his Odd Future crew, Frank models sport coats from Prada, Gant Rugger, Burberry and Michael Bastian; paired with other casual pieces from Givenchy, Acne, Balmain and Rick Owens.

The 25-year-old ‘Thinkin Bout You’ singer opens up to the magazine about his sexuality.

On how falling in love with a man at the age of 19 changed his songwriting: “It became effortless. Like breathing. Because now I have something I really need to say. It was Mindfuck.net. It was a floodgate. It opened up the works”.

On why he decided to release the candid open letter about his sexuality on his Tumblr page: “I was just like, ‘Fuck it. Talk about it, don’t talk about it — talk about this’ No more mystery. Through with that”.

On what the aftermath of the letter have been: “The night I posted it, I cried like a fucking baby. It was like all the frequency just clicked to a change in my head. All the receptors were now receiving a different signal, and I was happy. I hadn’t been happy in so long. I’ve been sad again since, but it’s a totally different take on sad. There’s just some magic in truth and honesty and openness”.

On whether he released the letter as a PR stunt: “Some people said, ‘He’s saying he fell in love with a guy for hype’ As if that’s the best hype you can get in hip-hop or black music”.

On whether he was worried about his revelation ruining his career: “I had those fears. In black music, we’ve got so many leaps and bounds to make with acceptance and tolerance in regard to that issue… So, you know, you worry about people in the business who you’ve heard talk that way [being homophobic]… It’s tempting to give those views and words — that ignorance — more attention than they deserve. Very tempting”.

On whether he considers himself bisexual: “You can move to the next question. I’ll respectfully say that life is dynamic and comes along with dynamic experiences, and the same sentiment that I have towards genres of music, I have towards a lot of labels and boxes and shit”.

The New Normal In Vogue

The cast of Ryan Murphy‘s new controversial NBC comedy series ‘The New Normal’ makes a cameo in the October issue of US Vogue magazine — along with the big man himself.

Justin Bartha, Andrew Rannells, Georgia King, Bebe Wood, Ellen Barkin and NeNe Leakes gather for a group shot, taken by the lens of Norman Jean Roy at the Paramount studios.

Ryan chats to the magazine of the scene he’s most proud of, in his new sitcom, which is when the two gay leads played by Bartha and Rannells are kissing in bed in the pilot.

“Of course we tested it with an audience in Burbank. And it was the lowest-testing scene in the pilot. Everybody was like, ‘You are going to have to cut that scene if you want to get picked up’. But then NBC said, ‘Do not touch it. We love it. It’s important’. And I thought, Wow, it’s a different world than when I was fifteen, watching Paul Lynde on Hollywood Squares”, Ryan points out to Vogue.
