A close-up shot of Emmy-winning actress Claire Danes adorns the cover of the November issue of Canadian fashion magazine Flare.
Photographed by Chris Nicholls, with wind-blown hair, the 33-year-old mom-to-be dons a Fendi dress, accessorized with a Celine cuff.
The ‘Homeland‘ star talks to the magazine about breaking her streak of doing romantic roles by playing mentally ill Carrie Mathison.
“It’s arguable that being in love and being mentally ill are sort of similar [laughs]. But it’s true I went through this ardourous decade and it did get a bit tiresome after awhile — you want to be defined in some other way. I was frustrated by that”, Claire explains to Flare.

‘Homeland‘ heroine Claire Danes looks radiant on the cover of the Fall Travel Issue of The New York Times T Style magazine, with the beautiful Tel Aviv beach skylines serving as the background.
The 33-year-old Emmy-nominated actress explains to the magazine how it’s like to play mentally challenged CIA agent Carrie Mathison.
“Carrie is perceptive but her fixation on keeping the world safe is so intense that it overrides that. She also has to be so vigilant in maintaining her own well-being. She has a bomb ticking inside of her that she is always monitoring”, Claire points out to T.
For her editorial, photographer Cass Bird captures Claire on the streets of Tel Aviv, where a few episodes of the upcoming second season of ‘Homeland’ were filmed. Claire wears Fall designs from Reed Krakoff, Valentino, Hermes, Armani, Comme Des Garcons, Calvin Klein, Christopher Kane, Jil Sander, Alexander Wang, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren.

Emmy-nominated ‘Downton Abbey‘ goddess Michelle Dockery brings some English elegance to the September issue of US Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
The 30-year-old actress, who is also promoting her upcoming film ‘Anna Karenina‘, explains to the magazine why she thinks a period drama as ‘Downton Abbey’ is such a hit in the US.
“I think some period drama can be quite alienating, but Downton isn’t. This is going to sound quite, um, pretentious, but someone said that it’s like a soap written by a poet. I used to get quite defensive of people saying it’s soaplike, but it kind of is”, Michelle tells Bazaar.
For her classic chic feature, captured by the lens of Benjamin A. Huseby, Michelle wears modern and sleek creations by Ralph Lauren, Alberta Ferretti, J. Mendel, Etro and Tom Ford.

Emmy nominee Claire Danes looks seductive on the cover of the September issue of British GQ magazine.
Lensed by Simon Emmett, the 33-year-old actress looks vampy with ruby-red lips, and matching Manolo Blahnik ankle strap pumps, while flaunting her sexy legs in a Lanvin thigh-high slit dress.
The ‘Homeland‘ star opens up to the magazine about turning down Kate Winslet‘s role in Titanic.
“I had just made a romantic epic with Leonardo (Dicaprio) –- it just seemed redundant to me. The problem is that I always took myself too seriously. Now I realise I should have lightened up. I was a serious kid to an absurd degree. I was overwhelmed with responsibility, trying to play grown up. I overdid it”, Claire shares with GQ.

Let’s be honest it has been Her Majesty Melissa McCarthy’s year. From an Oscar buzzworthy performance in ‘Bridesmaids’, to winning an Emmy for her role in ‘Mike & Molly’, to even scoring one of the most memorable ‘Saturday Night Live’ hosting gigs and planning to launch her own plus-size clothing line.
So it’s only appropriate that the 41-year-old actress channels royalty on the cover of Entertainment Weekly magazine’s annual Comedy Issue. The heavily bejeweled actress throws the deuces sign up in the air, donning a Dame-esque gray wig and a white gown with matching pristine white gloves, as she clutches a dog.
Dubbed the ‘New Queen Of Comedy’ by the magazine, Melissa in her interview talks about being one of comedy’s most sought-after actresses, even though she’s not a typical looking Hollywood star.
“Do I sometimes hope I wake up in the morning and people are like, ‘What’s wrong with her? She looks emaciated’. Of course I would love that. I’m such a clothes whore I would love the opportunity to be a hanger. But I think I’m more confident than I’ve ever felt in my life”, Melissa explains to EW.
