Justin Bieber Suits Up For Forbes

18-year-old popstar Justin Bieber, who just happens to rank third on Forbes’ 2012 most powerful celebrities list, looks dapper on the cover of the ‘Celebrity 100′ issue of Forbes magazine.

Captured by the camera lens of Michael Prince, the ‘Boyfriend‘ singer explains to the magazine how social media helped him launch his illustrious career and it’s continuing to help him build his empire.

“It used to be there was a mystery to the artist. Now there’s, like, no mystery — the fans want the connection, they want to see you Instagramming at a coffee shop in the morning… Social media helped launch my career. Without the Internet and without YouTube, I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to put my music out there and have people hear it”, Bieber points out to Forbes.

Britney Spears Is Lifeless For Glamour

Pop Princess Britney Spears strikes an awkwardly lifeless pose on the cover of the October issue of UK Glamour magazine.

The 29-year-old still looks beautiful with her curly blonde locks and in a Matthew Williamson longsleeve sequin and feather dress.

Britney talks to the magazine about the possibility of Prince William and Kate Middleton catching one of her concerts during her UK tour:

“That would be amazing. That would be really crazy and cool. I think they’re a beautiful couple. Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch the wedding but I heard it was beautiful”, Britney tells Glamour

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards took place on Sunday, 28 August. The big winner of the night was British songstress Adele, walking away with four moonmen. Another big winner was “ET” singer Katy Perry who received three wins. Avant Garde singer Lady Gaga also managed to win two awards, while Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Britney Spears all walked away with one win.

While it was news of R&B diva Beyonce’s pregnancy that stole the show and Lady Gaga’s male alter ego Jo Calderone making an appearance, there was still plenty of action on the black carpet. Check it out all below:

Lea Michele Gets Springy For Harper’s Bazaar.

Glee star Lea Michele gives a less than flattering pose on the cover of the September issue of US Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

Wearing a Yves Saint Laurent satin jumpsuit, the 24-year-old stars in the magazine’s very underwhelming Mark Seliger-shot cover, that borrows a lot from last September’s Jennifer Aniston cover and the June/July Britney Spears cover. Nevertheless, the actress makes up for it all in the spring-themed accompanying editorial shoot.
Lea talks to the magazine about being accused of being a diva in real life like her ‘Glee’ character.

“People have to remember this is all new for us (The cast of Glee) .We’re all reasonably young, except for Cory (Monteith), who’s old (29). I’ve learned some lessons. But people are going to say what they want to say. I know who I am, and I’m not perfect”, Lea explains to Harper’s Bazaar.

Britney Spears Wrestles The Paparazzi

Britney Spears is once again back with another banging music video, this time around sans dance moves, but rather with a thrilling mini movie filled with lots of humour and symbolism. Let’s be honest Britney often appears cold, unanimated and absent in most of her music videos, especially in recent years, but with the “I Wanna Go” video you can tell that she’s fully present and actually enjoying herself.

The video kicks off at a press conference, where reporters are asking Britney foolish yet funny questions such as “is it true you banned junk food, smiles, candy, sunshine and laughter from your Femme Fatale Tour?” and “Britney, can you confirm reports that you are pregnant with Brad Pitt’s love child?”. The 29-year-old finally decides that she’s fed-up with all their trivial questions, and literally tells them to “fuck off”.

Subsequently, the singer emerge from a building sporting an Avril Lavigne-esque look, that consist of a studded biker jacket, combat boots and pink-striped hair. Britney decides to let loose and just live her life the way she wants to. Thus she starts behaving outrageously — groping a fan, flashing an underage boy and seducing a cop, while at the same time battling lurking paparazzi. It all proves to be too much for our dear Brit Brit, as her knight in shining armor (played by actor Guillermo Díaz) arrives in a car and rescues her from it all. But are his motives really pure and innocent?

As Britney is escaping it all with her prince charming, she snaps out of it. It turns out it was all just a dream and Britney comes back to reality. We are taken back to the scene of the chaotic press conference, where reporters are still asking Britney silly questions like “Britney why is my wife cheating on me?”. An innocent looking Brit Brit then points out to a sleazy looking Guillermo — who is unclear if he’s now portraying Britney’s manager, boyfriend or bodyguard — that she just had the weirdest dream ever. Guillermo patronizingly replies “I love dreams and seashells” as he takes her away from the crazed press conference.

Directed by Chris Marrs Piliero, who is also responsible for Ke$ha’s jesting ‘Blow’ music video, this is by far the best Britney video from the Femme Fatale era. Sure a lot of the scenarios in the video are greatly exaggerated for theatrical thrill, but Britney is wittingly showing us what she encounters on a daily basis. Even though the video has a lot of underlying messages, for instance that people close to her always seem to have ulterior motives, Britney is really making one big bold statement with the video. Perhaps that while she’s back and better than ever from her down period, she still can’t fully live her life the way she wants to, due to the public’s over scrutiny. It’s very important to also point out that girl is looking mighty fine lately.

 

Robyn Gets Arty For Out Magazine

Swedish androgynous pop star Robyn takes her signature platinum blond pixie cut to the June issue of gay men’s fashion magazine Out. The 31-year-old is featured in a colourful artistic photoshoot conducted by lensman GL Wood.

Robyn who released her debut album in 1995, but only gained mainstream success in 2006, sit down with the magazine and explains why it took her so long to gain popularity:

“Britney [Spears] and Justin [Timberlake] had entered the same world as me, and they were like kamikaze pilots who just did everything right. I was just not that kind of person, so right then I already knew I wasn’t going to be around for that. They just did it so much better than I did”.

The singer who’s sexuality and sometimes even gender has been called into questioning tells the magazine:

“I get mistaken for a lesbian all the time — but I guess I do have the most lesbian haircut of any of the girls in my field. And when I was growing up and I introduced myself to people I’d say, ‘Hi, my name is Robyn and I’m a girl,’ because in Sweden, Robyn is a boy’s name and I had such short hair. My handicrafts teacher thought I was a boy for three years”.

She last appeared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar sporting raven hair and baring her naked pregnancy bump to the rest of the world in the summer of 2006. Now Britney Spears is once again back on the cover of the June/July issue of the fashion magazine, with her wavy blonde locks.

The Princess of Pop, who grace the cover of Harper’s Bazaar for an impressive fourth time in her singing career, looks elegant in a white cut-out Bill Blass dress. Photographed by Alexi Lubomirski the 29-year-old singer looks over her shoulder, while giving us her iconic mischievous smile on the cover.

While Britney undoubtedly looks beautiful, the cover is a little tame for Harper’s Bazaar, it’s more American Vogue. Speaking of Vogue, someone connected please call Anna Wintour and suggest to her since she’s birthing a new era of pop stars on the cover of Vogue, here is her next covergirl, preferably for the September Issue or that’s just stretching it?!

It certainly is a great season for American sweetheart Reese Witherspoon. First she got hitched late last month, then she graced the cover of the May issue of ELLE UK and has a hyped up movie coming out with Robert Pattinson at the end on the month. Now the actress is covering the world’s biggest fashion magazine’s May edition as a cherry on top.

Showing some serious cleavage in a black and white Roland Mouret dress and sporting retro blonde curls, the newlywed shimmers on the cover of American Vogue. One word sums up the cover, ELEGANT.

Lensed by famed fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, Reese’s spread inside the magazine is just as glamorous. The 35-year-old is the quintessential Hollywood leading lady as she toughens up to pose with an elephant, wearing designs by Valentino and Dior.

In case you were wondering the name of the cute elephant Reese is posing with is Tai. The Indian elephant has featured in many Hollywood productions, including Reese and R-Patz’s upcoming movie “Water for Elephants” and Britney Spears’ “Circus” music video.
