A dreamy wide shot of Lady Gaga adorns the cover of the September issue of US Vogue magazine (Checkout the cover and editorial preview here). Her Grace Coddington-styled editorial, shot by Mert Alas And Marcus Piggott, gives precedence to the 26-year-old’s head. From donning oversize Marc Jacobs hats, to rocking blonde messy hair and even being captured in a dramatic, yet exquisite, black and white head-shot, the ‘Born This Way‘ songstress impresses like she only can.
FYI: A moment of silence for that black Alexander McQueen feather cape.
The much-anticipated Lady Gaga Vogue cover, for the all so important September issue, is finally here and in true Gaga style it’s over-the-top. Anna Wintour puts the 26-year-old artpop songstress on the cover for the second time, and on the magazine’s biggest issue ever — with 916 pages.
Prolific photography duo Mert Alas And Marcus Piggott captures a full-shot of Gaga, with a sultry pout and her hands behind her back, while sporting bleached cotton candy-esque hair as well as wearing a floor-length and off-the-shoulder Marc Jacobs gown. Gaga was styled by Vogue’s longtime contributor Grace Coddington.
Gaga is, of course, promoting the launch of her first fragrance ‘Fame‘ and she had to tell the magazine the following on the first ever black eau de parfum:
“The fragrance is called Fame. It must be black. It must be enticing. You must want to lick and touch and feel it, but the look of it must terrify you”.
In true extravagant Lady Gaga style, for her freshman fragrance Fame, there will not be one, but two print Ads or even more, who knows! It’s Gaga after all, the queen of doing things in an unconventional manner.
In comparison, to the first Ad, the newly released BDSM-esque art is far less risqué that its predecessor, but nevertheless still very edgy. Captured by the camera lens of Steven Klein, the 26-year-old dons gothic dark lips, as she channels something between Catwoman and latex-humping Rubber Man from ‘American Horror Story‘ in a black shiny full-body suit. Gaga completes her high-fashion look with a saucer-brimmed hat, face mask and avant-garde platform shoes.
Pop-art extraordinaire Lady Gaga is renowned for her elaborate theatricals, flamboyant outfits and even making an uncredited pre-fame cameo in Emmy-winning television series ‘The
Sopranos’ in 2001. Now the 26-year-old songstress will once and for all get to prove her acting skills, as she is set to make her acting debut in Robert Rodriguez’s action exploitation film ‘Machete Kills’ — the sequence to the 2010 ‘Machete’.
A sexy teaser poster for the movie, set to hit theaters in 2013, sees Gaga in character as La Chameleón. The ‘Born This Way‘ singer dons a strapless bodysuit and thigh-high stockings, while cuddling a white wolf-headed fur stole and holding a smoking gun. Gaga sports a curly old Hollywood bob, with a deep side part, as well as vintage heavy mourning jewelry pieces.
The black and white art, sees a completely naked Gaga seductively lying on her side, with underwear-clad miniature men — symbolic for her little monsters perhaps — crawling all over her sensual skin, and strategically covering her moneymakers in the process. The 26-year-old sports short slicked-back hair and dons a Catwoman-esque mask, while holding the bottle for the first ever black eau de parfum in her hand.
Gaga was captured by controversial photographer Steven Klein for the edgy Ad campaign. In retrospect, Gaga and Klein have collaborated on the ‘Alejandro’ music video, and he is rumoured to have worked with the avant-garde star in capturing the artwork for her still-to-be-named next album.
Not one to shy away from any controversy, pop-art singer Lady Gaga poses nude in the latest promo shot for her upcoming Born This Way Ball world tour.
The Terry Richardson-shot art sees a very nude Gaga hanging onto castle gates for dear life and wrapped in a transparent plastic sheet design by Hogan McLaughlin. The 25-year-old dons knee-high Pleaser adore-2020 stripper platform boots and an avant-garde clear brimmed-hat over her blonde locks.
Earlier this week the ‘Marry The Night‘ songstress released the gothic poster for her Born This Way Ball tour, featuring her ghostly face peeking through gloomy clouds, above a medieval castle with male zombies.
Prepare to have a delightful holiday season with pop-art singer Lady Gaga. Not only is the ‘Marry The Night‘ singer having a jubilee 90-minute special ‘A Very Gaga Thanksgiving’ on ABC this Thursday (24 November), but she is also releasing a holiday EP.
Already available on US iTunes and worldwide on 26 November, ‘A Very Holiday Gaga’ features 4 jazz tracks to be performed on the Gaga-directed Thanksgiving TV special. The songs are her own version of ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Orange Colored Sky’ as well as a strip down and piano-backed rendition of two of her ‘Born This Way‘ hits — ‘You And I‘ and ‘The Edge Of Glory‘.
The EP cover art sees a retro jazz microphone erected in front of a Christmassy Gaga, with her eyes shut and giving a deeply sensual smile. The 25-year-old sports long glossy blonde locks and wears a white hooded fur garment.
Derriere, tush, rear end, bottom, ass or booty, whichever term you prefer to use, they all describe the same thing; the sexiest, most valuable and celebrated part of a woman’s body.
Wearing only a bra, the ‘Born This Way‘ singer, with her monster paws up in the air, bares her fully nude derriere in the black and white shot. The 25-year-old sports a fierce cat eyeliner, dagger nails and wind-blown wavy hair with chic bangs. Gaga’s signature facial and shoulder bone-like prosthetics make a return in the art.
‘Culo’ is the brainchild of Canadian fashion photographer Raphael Mazzucco in collaboration with Interscope Records chairman Jimmy Iovine, who discovered Gaga, and celebrates the beauty of a woman’s butt. The art book will drop on 22 November, coincidentally the same day as Lady Gaga’s own coffee table book ‘Lady Gaga x Terry Richardson‘ is released.
