Hollywood A-Listers came out in big numbers last night (07 May), all in the name of fashion, to celebrate the 2012 Costume Institute Gala (Met Ball). Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the event was co-chaired by British actress Carey Mulligan, designer Miuccia Prada, and US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. This year’s event honoured Prada and late Italian designer Elsa Schiaparelli.

The devil really does wear Prada. Anna Wintour ditched Chanel for this year’s event, and went for a white Prada gown, with a gold lobster applique — an homage to Schiaparelli perhaps.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is all smiles on the cover of the newly revamped March issue of US Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
Showing off her drop dead gorgeous body in a Yves Saint Laurent cut-out jumpsuit, the 39-year-old strikes a pose for the lens of Terry Richardson.
The ‘Contagion‘ star talks to the magazine about her BFF Beyonce.
“Beyonce is the most talented human being on the planet. She has so much mastery over what she does. It’s not even confidence — it’s on a whole other level. It’s mind-blowing. I watched her (perform) a lot to see how she did it, and I was like ‘Shit! I can’t do that!’”, Gwyneth tells Bazaar.

Beyonce‘s younger sister Solange Knowles might be living under her shadow when it comes to music, but the afro-haired singer clearly calls the shots when it comes to fashion side of things, having made a name for herself as a budding fashion icon.
The 25-year-old DJ takes her whimsical style to the February issue of US InStyle magazine; rocking bold, colourful patterns and ethnic-inspired prints like only Solange can effortlessly do in her David Vasiljevic-shot feature with the magazine.
Solange shares her excitement with the magazine about her niece Blue Ivy Carter.
“This may sound awful, but I’m excited to let the baby do whatever it wants, in the same way my sister’s done with my son. I’m going to get her back for all those late-night popcorn sessions and just spoiling my child to no end!”.

Grammy-nominated singer Kelly Rowland is featured on the cover of the January issue of UK Marie Claire magazine.
Rocking some chic bangs, the ‘X Factor‘ judge looks beautiful as she strikes a tall pose in a puffy little number under the lens of David Oldham.
The 30-year-old ‘Motivation‘ songbird tells the magazine that she’s very excited for longtime friend Beyonce, who is expecting her first child, but insists that she’s not broody in the least.
“I will babysit and change a diaper or two, and then give it back, I do want kids, but every time I think about a little person growing inside of me and getting bigger and bigger and then having to come out…a watermelon coming out of something the size of a lemon is insane to me”, Kelly shares with Marie Claire.

The 39th Annual American Music Awards took place last night (20 November) and was it the biggest snoozefest of the year. The red carpet was one big doze-off too, with red carpet firm favourites Lady Gaga, Rihanna (both in the UK) and Beyonce (attending the ‘Live At Roseland: Elements Of 4‘ screening) not making an appearance. Highlights of the night included British songstress Adele finally getting some American recognition, with her critically acclaimed album ‘21‘ winning favourite album as well as pop crooner Bruno Mars surprisingly and deservedly winning favourite male artist over teen sensation Justin Bieber. Country starlet Taylor Swift was of course the big winner of the night once again. Head below for all the red carpet fashion:
R&B diva Jennifer Hudson flaunted her gorgeous new figure in a Jenny Packham draped little number.
One of the night’s best-dressed was actress Jenny McCarthy in a puffy Victoria Beckham dress. Love her chic retro side-swept curl and popping red lips.
‘Modern Family‘ actress Julie Bowen looked a mess in her mini dress and messy hair. This look would have been more fitting for her much younger co-star below.
Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez got loveydovey, with Selena failing to impress in her satin Armani dress.
Rocking a side ponytail, Taylor Swift looked beautiful in a Reem Acra glittery strapless gown. Wait a minute, haven’t we seen this dress on her before?!

After countless features, Hollywood’s most sought-after twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen finally snatch their first US Vogue cover, with the magazine’s special edition annual Best Dressed issue.
The 25-year-old sisters look completely edgy on the Craig McDean-shot December cover, with lace masks over their beautiful faces and Ashley donning a design from the duo’s label The Row. US Vogue has had some amazing covers this year, and they continue on their winning streak with their year-end issue.
Despite the Olsen twins’ controversial homeless meet heroin addict look or maybe simply put boho-grudge chic, the pair makes Vogue’s 2011 Best Dressed list, which this year spotlights ‘dynamic duos’ such as Beyonce and Solange Knowles, Elle and Dakota Fanning as well as Kate and Pippa Middleton. According to coverlines India rock singer Florence Welch and ‘Twilight’ star Kristen Stewart will also make a cameo.

Queen of pop Lady Gaga and first lady of Soul Adele are not the only ones releasing a live in concert DVD this November. R&B diva Beyonce is joining the fray too.
The mom-to-be will release the 26-song standard version of ‘Live at Roseland: Elements of 4′ DVD on 21 November — same day as Gaga’s ‘Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour At Madison Square Garden’. The DVD was filmed during the four-day ’4 Intimate Nights With Beyonce’ concerts in New York back in August, the one that sold out in 22 seconds and was only afforded to 3500 lucky fans per night.
As an extra little treat, the deluxe version of the DVD will drop on 29 November — same day as Adele’s ‘Live At The Royal Albert Hall’. The deluxe package will, amongst many things, include seven of the music videos that the 30-year-old ‘Party’ singer has been flooding us with lately, from her latest album ’4′.
The artwork for the DVD features a close-up shot of a sultry-looking Beyonce, seductively placing a diamond object on her luscious lips.

English songstress Florence Welch covers this week’s issue of British music magazine NME.
The 25-year-old Florence and The Machine lead vocalist rocks her usual vintage chic style on the cover, wearing a white blouse with a vest. Flo dons a maroon brim hat on top of her signature red-hair with bangs to complete the look.
The ‘Shake It Out’ singer excitedly talks to the magazine about her initial reaction to when she heard that R&B singer Beyonce cited her as one of the inspiration for her latest album ’4′.
“My dad called me to tell me. So I’ve been really listening to the Beyonce album, like really intently, trying out maybe where she might have been influenced, but I’m not really sure. My favorite song on that record is ‘Countdown’… I love her she’s so sweet. I met her and she’s so gracious and she’s really beautiful”, Flo tells NME.
