Recently announced V magazine columnist, Lady Gaga grace the cover of the June issue of the magazine in the most bedazzled way. Besides its alluring starlet, the cover is given so much depth with the multi-headed format .
Gaga, who sports two side ponytails and chic bangs, strike a ferocious pose in a black Thierry Mugler bodysuit and knee-high stockings, with two other Gaga heads lingering on either sides of her shoulders. Cover-lines read “Memoirs Of A Gaga” and reveal that the singer’s interview inside will be done by the legendary Sir Elton John.
Photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, “The Edge Of Glory” singer channels Japanese beauty on the alternative cover with rainbow butterfly make-up on her face, electric neon pink lips and her two toned blonde and black hair tasseled to the front. Peter Phillips executed the singer’s fascinating peacock feathers make-up.
Another alternative cover features the American Idol soon-to-be mentor, who was styled by close friend Nicola Formichetti, in an Indian inspired look. Gaga’s face is bejewelled with gold Indian beading, which include a pieced nose. She also sports a fierce fringe on the cover.
The 25-year-old covers the magazine’s issue #71, which has been dubbed the “Asian Issue”. The edition will be devoted to celebrating Asian beauty by having high profile Asian models dominate the magazine’s editorial shoots. Gaga will also debut her highly anticipated fashion/art column in the issue.
In a sneak peek of the 1,445 words column with two footnotes, Gaga explains her fashion credential, saying:
“I myself can look at almost any hemline, silhouette, beadwork or heel architecture and tell you very precisely who designed it first, what French painter they stole it from, how many designers reinvented it after them and what cultural and musical movement parented the birth, death and resurrection of that particular trend”.
